Child Support Agency

A child support agency is an agency that helps with the enforcement of child support orders. Each state has its own child support enforcement agency. The agency helps mothers and/or fathers establish the identity of the biological parents, take the non-custodial parents to court to get a court order for child support, help collect the child support from the non-custodial parents, and help to collect past due child support from parents who owe the money. The child support enforcement agency can garnish wages, take the tax return money, suspend or revoke a driver's license and other things that could force the non-custodial parent to pay the debt. The child support enforcement agency is a free service to all individuals who are receiving child support by a court order. You do not have to pay them anything to work on your child support case. They are there to look out for the best interest of the child by helping to collect the money that is owed to better support the children.
