Child Support Office

Each state is required by federal law to have a child support office available to the residents of that state. The office is funded by the federal government, as well as the state in which it is located. The services that the child support office offers to the people of that state are absolutely free. You will not have to pay a penny out of your pocket. These child support offices are usually operated through the Attorney General's office. All you have to do is to contact your local office in your state and set up a review of your case and/or a consultation. If children are involved, your case will be taken. The attorneys will handle all of the legalities and paperwork for you. They will arrange for your court hearings if needed. The offices help residents to: establish paternity, locate the other parent, establish and enforce child support orders, establish and enforce medical support orders, collect and distribute child support payments, and modify existing support orders. They offer many services that are beneficial to the families of that state.
