Divorced Parents

Ending a relationship is sometimes the best thing for everybody, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. Being a parent sometimes means making sacrifices, but that does not include staying in a dangerous or life-draining marriage for the sake of the children. Being a divorced parent does not make you any less of a parent, nor does it make you a worse parent. It simply means that you are divorced, period. Divorced parents must understand that while they are no longer married to the former spouse, they still share the responsibilities and obligations of parenting to their child. Children of divorced parents find it hard to understand a divorce, more so when there are younger children involved. They often tend to blame themselves for the divorce. Divorced parents should make it a point to ensure that kids do not blame themselves for the divorce. They should be explained all the circumstances and make it as simple and easy to follow.
