Family Law Cases

Family law cases can encompass a variety of court issues, including: marriage, divorce, annulment, prenuptial agreements, child custody, spousal support, child visitation rights, guardianship, probate and dissolution of assets, child adoption and legal separation. In the event that an individual or couple cannot resolve a family law issue on their own, they will present their case for review in their respective family court. The court will review the facts of each case and present their findings and rulings. Some family law issues can be resolved without an attorney, using the forms provided by the individual courts, while others require the assistance of legal counsel. In most cases, if you cannot afford legal representation, the court will appoint counsel to help you work through the process. Simply speak with your local courthouse for information and next steps.
