Illinois Child Support

The Illinois Child Support Enforcement Agency helps all Illinois families with the establishment of paternity, establishment and enforcement of child support orders, collection and distribution of those orders, establishment and enforcement of medical support orders. This is a completely free program that is offered to all residents of the state of Illinois. They have the authority to garnish the wages of the support payer, garnish the income tax returns, suspend or revoke the driver's license, freeze bank accounts and so on, until child support is collected from the payer. You can access your account via the internet to see if the state has collected or disbursed any payments to you. The payer can also pay via the internet with a MasterCard or visa card and check their account as well. Illinois child support laws definitely need to be updated as they are a little old. According to the law, a child can spend most of their time with one parent, consume resources with that same parent, however, that parent would still have to pay the other parent, child support. Something is seriously wrong with that scenario. The law in Illinois needs to be updated to cover this aspect.
