Simple Divorce

In the event that both parties of the couple agree to terms, there are no or few assets to dissolve or there were no children produced during the marriage, couples can often file paperwork for a simple, no-contest divorce. A simple divorce can often be performed without the assistance of an attorney, drastically reducing the legal fees and overall cost of divorce. Most family courts offer easy access to the required divorce forms, and many are even available online for easy download. Once these forms are filled out, the couple will file them with the court, wait the required period of time (every state is different), then the individual who filed for divorce will appear before the judge for final court approval of the divorce decree. This method of divorce is preferred by most family courts, as it allows the individuals involved in the divorce to set out and agree upon the terms as best fit for their individual lives.
