Texas Uncontested Divorce

An uncontested divorce is often referred to as a "no fault" or even a "do it yourself" divorce. All states have different laws and guidelines, and in Texas an uncontested divorce really is a do it yourself variety. This does not mean, however that a Texas uncontested divorce is quick and easy. Both parties will have to reach agreements on everything from child support and alimony to the distribution of assets and property in an amicable way. Even though it is called a do it yourself type of divorce, a Texas uncontested divorce is really best done with at least some legal guidance and support. There are many different steps necessary for the completion of an uncontested divorce and if at any point one or both parties declare some sort of contempt or disagreement with the documentation, the divorce may be converted into a "fault" divorce.
