Visitation Forms

Child visitation is often awarded to the non-custodial parent, the parent who does not have fully custody of the child or children. Visitation can be decided upon between the couple without the involvement of a mediator or the family court system. But, in the event that the couple cannot decide on a viable visitation arrangement or schedule, they can file a petition with the family court, where a judge will render a ruling that is both fair and which takes into account what the best interests of the child are. In the event that a couple agrees on the visitation schedule on their own, they can locate and file the appropriate visitation forms with the court. Visitation can be established on either a flexible or fixed basis. Flexible visitation schedules often leave the dates and times for visits open for the couple to choose, while fixed schedules include dates, times and locations for visits. Most couples prefer flexible schedules to allow for the child's schedule needs and any family needs.
