Visitation Rights

Visitation rights, when in the context of divorce laws, are those rights held by either parent to see their biological children following a divorce. In some cases, both parent may be denied custody, but allow visitation rights. In other cases, one parent may be denied custody, but allowed visitation rights by the courts with their children, which the other spouse must agree to respect. Visitation rights and visitation schedules are set forth by the family courts, which would overall like to see both parents engaged in a child's life, provided that parent is fit to be a parent and is not a danger to the child.
