I am concerned that my future wife will “let herself go” after we get married. Can I include a “weight gain” stipulation in our prenuptial agreement?

Prenuptial agreements should be used by a couple primarily to make arrangements regarding finances and property rights in the case of divorce or death. For practical reasons, you should keep personal agreements out of your prenuptial agreement. Provisions like weight gain, responsibility for household chores, agreements about having and raising children, and whether or not you will have pets are just a few of the non-monetary issues that should be left out of a prenuptial agreement. These kinds of provisions are not typically binding in court, and their presence in a prenuptial agreement could cause a judge to take the document less seriously and question its validity.
