Me and my wife are getting a divorce and I don’t think that she will be a good mother to our children judging by the mother she’s been so far. How do I make sure that I can protect the fathers rights custody of the children?

The court will do what they feel is best for the children, so you need to find a way to show that living with you would be better for your children’s well being than living with their mother. You can do this by being involved in your children’s lives and finding witnesses that will testify that you are the most involved parent (doctors, dentists, and school teachers/administration usually make good witnesses). Also if you want custody because you think that the children would be in a dangerous situation, then you should make that known to the court during the custody hearings. The first thing you should do is consult with a local attorney that specializes in divorce and family law. An attorney will be able to give you legal counsel, organize your case, and present your case to a court.
