The decision to sign a prenuptial agreement is essentially yours, but if you want to protect your property in case your marriage fails, then it is a worthwhile consideration. Prenuptial agreements are recognized in all 50 states and in Washington D.C.
Also your need for a prenuptial agreement will vary from state to state. To make sure that your prenuptial agreement fits your states requirements you should have it read by a lawyer who will be able to oversee your draft and point out where changes will need to be made to fit your state’s laws.
