Berlusconi’s Wife Writes Book about Pending Divorce

Today a book was released, which was written by Veronica Lario- the estranged wife of Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi. In it, she describes her embarrassment over the recent accusations of a sex scandal involving the Italian conservative leader. According to Lario, her husband did not tell her that he planned to attend the birthday party of an 18-year-old model in Naples. Instead, he said that he had official business in the city.

However, Lario writes that this incident was only the latest in a string of embarrassments. She says that she is no longer able to be his baby sitter and that she cannot stop him from making himself look ridiculous in front of the world. She has recently filed for divorce.

Berlusconi is believed by many to be an obscene figure and many Italians have been dismayed by his leading ability since he overthrew Romano Prodi late last year. He has often been seen on the Italians’ RAI network demonstrating his uncouth behavior.
